Cannabis as medicine

Strong plant with huge potential
Cannabis as mediCine

Healthcare of the future

Since 10 March 2018, German physicians are able to prescribe medical cannabis in individual cases.

Previously, patients were forced to obtain a special permit for cannabis therapy from the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). With the new law, the medical use of cannabis in Germany no longer necessitates a special exemption. Both finished medicinal products and prescriptions based on cannabis as well as dried cannabis flowers can be reimbursed by the statutory health insurance funds. Since the law "Cannabis as medicine" came into force, more patients and in Germany have become interested in the possibilities of cannabis as medicine.

The topic is very extensive and many questions remain open. What is more, there are hardly any realiable sources of information available to physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and researchers to enable them to educate themselves and develop care concepts.

We answer their questions and offer training programs on handling and prescribing medical cannabis and the legal regulations pertaining to the use of cannabinoid-based products in Germany.
